Only 400 Asiatic Lions remain in the wild: they live in the Gir Forest National Park, Gujarat India.
I am terrified of heights, and never thought I would do a skydive! But I am a Leo, and have decided to dig deep and find the courage to:
LEAP for LIONS!
The money raised will go towards conservation work in the Gir forest area India, where the last remaining Asian Lions live. It will help provide:
- Equipment to provide real time imagery from the Lions habitat, alerting a rangers rapid response team to problems
- A vet exchange scheme so local Gir Lion rangers, can receive the latest veterinary training
- Supporting new forest areas with protected status, expanding safe space for the Lions to move
- Working with local communities who have not previously come into contact with Lions
