When football became a bit more difficult and my tongue went totally numb at work, I knew my body was letting me down. I went to the doctor who refered me to the hospital, who diagnosed me with M.S. I didn't think "oh no my life is over. I thought "so that's why I'm totally crap at football!" Who could argue with that excuse? Since then I have lost the ability to balance so walking, cycling, snowboarding, skating, footy or any other activity that gives an adrealin rush is out of the question.
I got a machine called an O.D.F.S. pace via a grant from the M.S. society after being assesed by Revive M.S. it's like a fancy tens machine to help with walking. They are pretty pricy so a grant from the M.S. Society helped massively.
East Renfrewshire has one of the highest concentrations of M.S. per capita in the world. Are they steamin' or is there something wrong with them! Give us a chance!
