Hey Family, Friends and Supporters!

My name is Jess Weller and I was diagnosed at age 27 with HER2+ Breast Cancer. Now age 29 I am on the road to recovery and want to dedicate my life to spreading the awareness message and helping others through their cancer journey.

On Saturday 27th September, 2014 I am going one up on last years half marathon effort and am going to give the full a crack at the Shine Night Marathon Walk for Cancer Research UK. I’m raising money for Cancer Research UK to help beat breast cancer sooner.

I have been so incredibly fortunate to have been able to stay here in the UK and this is my chance to give back after getting a second chance at life.

With nearly 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Men also get breast cancer – around 400 men every year are diagnosed. Cancer Research UK's work has helped ensure that more than eight out of 10 women now survive their disease beyond five years. But around 11,700 women and 80 men still die from the disease each year in the UK.
