We implement education and health projects to improve opportunities for rural children

Story

A couple of weeks ago was lucky enough to visit Bharabhuri Primary School in Nepal.  It is a basic rural school In the Seti Valley, Annapurna Conservation Area. They are supported by the Pahar Trust who help with essential costs.

Children attending the school come from very poor Dalit and Magar families. The population are mainly subsistence famers.

Whilst I was there I noticed that they had no playground equipment and that the swings were broken.  I spoke with the Pahar Trust who have advised me I can fundraise specifically for the swings - which will cost about £400. So the money raised here will go directly to providing new swings and playground equipment if we raise more than £400.

The school has no electricity in the classrooms, the toilets were the normal nepali style.  The school shuts for a few weeks during harvest so that the kids can help.

It is a beautiful part of the world and would be a great place to swing !
