Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 25th March 2022, an amazing group of women rowers will take on an awe inspiring challenge on indoor rowing machines and row their way to create new British and World records.

The group of women from all over the UK and Sweden who are connected through their love of rowing , will meet in Wales to take on this immense challenge.

The women aged 30-60 years, will be rowing an astonishing 26-hoursand in the process hope to set new British and World records for the longest continual row and the most meters rowed in 24-hours.

The rowers have been inspired to raise money for Cavernoma Alliance UK as close relatives of two of the participating rowers have this condition.

Cavernomas are a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spine which can bleed and give symptoms such as stroke-like symptoms and seizures to name but a few.

Cavernomas are extremely rare with only one person in approx 300,000 diagnosed with a symptomatic cavernoma. Cavernoma Alliance UK gives support and information to anyone affected by a cavernoma. It is a small charity often overlooked for funding and therefore your support and genorousity to help this fantastic charity to continue providing the services it gives will be extremely appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you so much for your support and generosity. It is really appreciated.
