We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

18 staff and counting......

The Westgate school staff have been challenged by head of PE, Mr Wylie to run the Southampton half marathon & 10K race for Southampton Teenage Cancer Unit, who have treated several of our pupils over the past few years.

Our team ranges from the Headteacher, Mr Nicholson, (who, it turns out, ran a very respectable half marathon time "a few years ago"...), to staff who have never run further than a mile, but who have signed up for the challenge.  We aim to raise as much money as possible via events at school and through the JustGiving page to support a very worthwhile local cause.  We are looking to support the Southampton Teenage Cancer unit, through providing comfy chairs, laptops and entertainment activities for the young people being treated in there.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
