Story

The team are back together once again - Phil & Val Moorhouse, Steve & Angela Smith and Alan & Anna Noble - completing a 100 mile hike of the West Highland Way, from Mulngavie to Fort William in just one week! Alan has been recruited as Director of Logistics (let's hope he has a decent road map!) and the rest of the team are training hard to complete the challenging hike.

Having lost Louise (Phil & Val's Daughter) in 2019 to cancer, the family set up a charitable fund with the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland - this is Louise's legacy to her two young children, Jack 9 and Ava 7. The fund supports local charities supporting families living with cancer and young, disadvantaged children. It is hoped Jack and Ava will benefit from getting involved in selecting worthy charities that their Mum would love to support.

Anna is still wondering why she needs to carry a backpack (erm, sun cream, water bottle, waterproofs, snacks, map etc - we could go on).

Angela is working on breaking in her new boots, avoiding anything that involves heights.

True to form, Steve is partway through his downloadable, 15 week training programme.

Phil & Val are so grateful to the team for their support, enthusiasm and commitment to the challenge and helping to get them motivated to undertake this long hike in memory of their dear Daughter.
