The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

There are 90,000 children and young people in care in the UK, and each year a further 10,000 leave the care system. During this COVID-19 crisis they have become more isolated and uncertain.

NYAS and their team and their independent visitors have not been able to physically visit those who they engage with as much as usual.

NYAS have put plenty of alternative provision in place, but these young people have gained a greater sense of isolation due to social distancing, and we are hoping to raise this issue by cycling for them, side by side (but 2.6m apart) - 10 circuits of one of the Wirral's most iconic lanes - the Lever Causeway - a 2.6 route.

These funds will help NYAS's new programme SIDEBYSIDE which is dedicated to helping both those young people in care, and especially those about to or who have left the care system, but still need support and guidance.

Many thanks for your help.
