Story
I want you all to read this and visualise it all in your head…
Ashia and her sister Sara wake up and ran to the kitchen where their father is trying to figure out what he can make the kids for breakfast. Ashia is smiling as today is her 5th birthday and her father Ibrahim promised to buy her gifts. Sara who is 7 tells her father that she will make the food for them all as her gift to Ashia. Ibrahim smiles proudly at his kids and agrees.
Father realises he will need a few things from the shops so says he will go across the street to buy them, Ashia goes with him, as she knows that way her dad won’t forget her gifts.
They walk quickly as father and daughter both excited today. The father raised both the kids alone since Ashia was 3 so it’s been hard working and looking after them but never complained and gave everything possible his kids and he was determined to make this a great day for his little girl. They walk past a toy shop and Ashia with her face lit up screams “dad you getting me this?”, pointing at kids cooking station… he looks at his daughter and sees the happiest girl his ever seen, smiling and eyes all lit up, he smiles and says “sure lets go in and get it”. At that very moment there is a loud bang then fire and smoke, people screaming and dust everywhere! The town has just been bombed, bricks go flying and glass go flying. Ibrahim is thrown to one side of the shop. He gets his head up, his ears ringing but he didn't feel any pain he was frantic to find his daughter. He sees her laid on the floor covered in dust and glass, she is bleeding but alive. He picks her up and with her in his arms he runs towards the hospital…
He gets there and sees many victims are there, some are missing legs and arms others are like Ashia bleeding heavily. It was a scene out of the movies people were crying and screaming, its chaos.
Doctors and nurses are trying to see as many people as possible but they don’t have the resources to pay attention to all and some are dying waiting to be seen. Aisha was seen but only a bandage was put on to slow the bleeding. Ibrahim was crying and images of his wife Maryam came to his head, she had died in a bombing only two year ago along with his 8 year old son, while they were walking home from school!. He was told they cannot do any more for Ashia as they have not got supplies. It is being used up, most of it on the more severe injured people. So he walks out as he is anxious to go see how Sara was doing, as he walked out he sees people bringing dead bodies into the morgue, as he looked up he thought he saw someone he knew so ran to look closer, as he did he saw Sara… he froze what he saw next made him fall to the ground. He saw his daughter but there was no legs, no chest, just her head, neck and one arm attached to the shoulders, the rest was blown away!!!
I hope you visualised this, now imagine YOU are Ibrahim and this is YOUR family.
My friends welcome to Palestine. This is happening every day and been happening in Palestine for the last 66 years. While we ignore them because it’s not happening to us or here.
I am raising money to help the only few hospitals that has not been blown away because without the URGENT MEDICAL supplies even Ashia will die soon. Ibrahim has lost two kids and wife already in a space of 2 years. This is a common story all over Palestine.
We are fortunate to not be there to have that life but it is our duty to help them, as you know in life the table can turn anytime, and you may need help one day. So do your duty and help the people of Gaza and Palestine live and spread the news to make more people aware that we will not stand and let innocent kids die. How long will the world leaders ignore the war criminals in Israel? How long will they let babies as young as 4 months to be bombed, how long will they let them bomb schools and hospitals… This isn't about helping Muslims or helping Palestine, this is about being human.
I ask you to donate as much as you can and remember even £2 will help get supplies to save lives. All donation goes 100% to charity and goes through Ummah welfare trust.
I am giving away 400 T-shirts and 500 loom bands to raise awareness, please follow wewithgaza on instagram and DM us to give your details for either a tshirt or some loom bands. You can also email us on wewithgaza@gmail.com . The sizes are mixed and its first come first serve basis. We will however do our best to get you the correct size out.
