Hi and thanks for coming to check our page out and hopefully make a donation! 😉

We are a group of health care professionals who feel passionately about our work and work place environment. We work on an Acute Medical Admissions Unit and see and treat almost every condition you could think of! As well as short term admissions who we discharge following treatment, or the very poorly patients we look after for a few days, there are also sad occasions when people don't go home or the results of  their tests and scans do not give the news they would hope for. We wish to be able to support these patients and their families at these devastating times, not just behind closed curtains in a bay but in a comfortable quiet area where they can have the privacy to sit, think and gather their thoughts or just have a bit of 'time out'.

For these reasons we are throwing ourselves into marathons, the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, lots of bake sales, raffles and anything else we can think of! 

I am proud to be part of this team who will do this for our patients and families and also the rest of the team manning the ward whilst we do it.
