Beanstalk Mount Toubkal Trek · 5 October 2017 to 11 October 2017 ·

"Coram Beanstalk is a national reading charity that recruits volunteers to work with children aged 3-13 who need extra support with their reading skills"

Story

This October I'm flying to Morocco with a team of fundraisers to climb the mighty Mount Jbel Toubkal, in support of Beanstalk.

Beanstalk is a UK charity that recruits, trains and supports volunteers to provide one-to-one literacy support in early years settings and primary schools to children who have fallen behind with their reading.

The 3-day trek will take us from Marrakesh to the barren and dry High Atlas range, where we will climb Mount Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa at 4,167 meters.

Following this epic ascent, we will continue our journey toward the rural Berber village of Tizi Oussem, where we will spend a full day visiting a small school and assisting in revamping a class room.

Please join me in helping Beanstalk spread the joy of reading!
