Update:
Thanks to everyone's fantastic generosity - we have 'upped' our target slightly, and we welcome any further donations that will help the cause. - Thank you x
We did it !!!!!
Many thanks to everyone who has supported us - if it hadn't been for you, I don't think we'd have made it over the finish line.
Hopefully we'll tip the £3,750 target - not bad for a night's work

"Let's do The Moon Walk?"
A simple enough sounding suggestion which was greeted with much enthusiasm during one of our visits to a local hostelry. Little did we know what we were letting ourselves in for. . . . .
Six young, fit, fabulous, finely-tuned athletes - we are NOT.
So why did we decide to walk a marathon?
"All women face the risk of Breast Cancer" - a scary thought.
As we get older, the risk increases.
We, (Jackie, Jud, Ruth, Sarah, Steph and Val) are six friends whose lives have all in some way been touched by breast cancer, and we decided we would like to do our bit to help in uniting against the disease.
So here we are, clocking up the miles and counting down the weeks to May 16th, when we will take part in the famous London Playtex MoonWalk. "Twenty-six miles!!!"
We will be joining 15,000 women (and men) pounding the streets of London through the night in decorated bras.
None of us have ever walked a marathon, in fact we haven't really walked any measurable distance, unless you count the endless miles of supermarket aisles or carpet trekking, following closely behind our trustee Dysons.
We have started training - you won't believe how many different routes we have discovered to enable us to 'get some miles in', but still have enough energy left to order drinks when we eventually get to the pub.
If you see us 'out on the road' looking tired and breathless, please give us a honk to let us know you are supporting our efforts.
If you'd like to learn more about the MoonWalk, you can visit the website http://www.walkthewalk.org - it is a fabulous charity and we think you'll agree with us that it is a hugely worthwhile cause.
We hope that you are able to make a donation, and would like to thank you in advance for your kind generosity.
If you click on the 'Sponsor Us Now' button (below), it is the most efficient way to sponsor us. You just need to enter your name, the amount you'd like to donate, and an appropriate comment (not too rude).
Don't worry - it's totally safe and secure.
By donating through Justgiving, if you are a UK taxpayer, an additional 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, is added to the donation.
Thanks again - Jackie, Jud, Ruth, Sarah, Steph & Val
