Muntada Aid is a global humanitarian charity which operates in some of the world’s most vulnerable places, by providing much needed assistance to communities that have been affected by disasters, conflicts, and the cycle of poverty.

Story

Ill keep everyone posted of how things are going inshAllah.

-I came across an article I was reading regarding how the Syrians aren't coping with the conditions as sadly they aren't adequately cop equipped for this winter. I'd just like to share the things it mentioned.

  1. “All we have is blankets and God's mercy,” said Abu Ali, wearing a red and white keffiyeh scarf on his head and a traditional camel-colored Bedouin robe.
  2. 'Cold and sick'
  3. His family's tiny tent is made from sheets of white plastic and planks of wood, and only has straw mats as flooring.
  4. A single battery-powered lantern hangs in the tent, so to escape the darkness, Abu Ali's children brave the cold and rain and play outside.
  5. “I am cold all the time, but there is nothing I can do to keep myself warm, so we play anyway,” said 12-year-old Hammudi, whose striking green eyes glistened in the wind as he wandered around in plastic sandals, his feet covered in mud.   Just take the time to contemplate the difference between how they're living in comparison to ourselves...

-Allah has given us the rahma to make us feel bad when we know that something is wrong and subhanAllah do we not bow our heads when we watch the news to find our Syrian mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters dying from hypothermia or perhaps dying from starvation? Yes we may be hundreds of miles apart from them, with a roof over our heads and clothes to keep us warm, but having that rahma is just the beginning of trying to help them. If you think you can help trust me you can. This is our people, we are One Ummah, so I urge you please donate whatever you can to help them recover their situation. ]

-I 've never done anything like this before so it's such a big deal for me. Honestly can't thank you guys enough for helping me raise awareness as well as donating so may Allah reward you for that also. Ameeen

-JazakAllahu khayr for everyone help and donations!

-JazakAllahu Khayr (May Allah reward you with goodness) for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page called Wings Over Syria.

-Salam Alakoum (peace be upon you all), I hope you all are well. I'm just the average 17 year old Muslimah who made a pledge back in April of 2014 to raise £3,000 for women and children in Syria. The aftermath of the humanitarian situation in Syria is worse than ever even nearly 3 years on; with reports of more than 120,000 Syrians being killed, a massive 6.8 million Syrians being internally displaced and 2.5 million refugees fleeing the country leaving everything they know behind.

As dismal as these figures seem, the story continues to worsen as winter hits and millions are faced with ferocious weather conditions. Freezing temperatures and heavy snow fall in some areas have led to further deaths especially amongst children and the elderly.

But hope doesn't have to be lost. Muntada Aid are currently working with partners in Syria where they have nearly completed the Syrian refugee village. This village is a holistic situation to the hardships faced by Syrians. It was encompass 100 demountable homes, a school, a mosque, a kitchen, a playground and wash facilities.

I know £3,000 is an ambiguous goal to reach, but by the will of Allah it will be achieved. I just need YOUR help. So help me, help Syria InshAllah!
