Charity Sleep Out · 6 December 2013

Established in 1977 in response to the rough sleepers in Worcester, we operate a 46 bed hostel in Worcester City. We exist because single homelessness exists. Our philosophy is to create psychological safety, build relationships and put in place support people need to re-integrate with society.

The Integrated Offender Management (IOM) Team consists of Police, Probation, YSS, Pathways to Recovery and many other local partner agencies. We are working together and building on the aim to extend partnership working to a greater number of offenders.

Many of the individuals we deal with are homeless and we want to highlight their plight, particulary during the festive season. At this time of year many of us are able to spend valuable time with our loved ones with the luxury of food, drink, warmth and shelter. Let's not take for granted the special things in life that are not available to the homeless, who are some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

Also taking part are St Johns and Bedwardine Police Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT). The Night Assessment Shelter is situated on their area and the team are passionate about supporting this cause.

The IOM and SNT want to split any money raised between The Night Assessment Centre, provided by St Paul's Hostel and also Maggs Day Centre. Both are situated within Worcester and are absolutely crucial services to the local homeless.

It's going to be very cold out there so please give generously!!

Thank you.
