What do we do for you?

We will work as hard as we can in order to collaboratively reach 400,000 coherent words of our two separate novels, written in prose, between 1st April and 31st May, in order to raise money for Camfed. We will update you daily on our word counts and progress via Twitter and Facebook, and give you opportunities along the way to participate in our fundraising. We will update and inform you on the amazing work Camfed carries out, and let you know where your money will be going. You can also track our progress here:

The best thing about this as a fundraiser is that it’s genuinely really hard (3,278 words per day each for 61 days) but costs nothing to do, so every penny that we raise will go directly to our cause. We haven’t heard of anyone having done this as fundraiser before, so really excited to potentially be the first to attempt something like this (if you’ve heard of anyone, let us know though!) We're thankful to NaNoWrimo for inspiring the concept - their website is here: http://nanowrimo.org. NaNoWriMo is a November writing challenge, where the aim is to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. Our plan doubles that in every way, so 100,000 words per month for 2 months. 

What can you do for us?
