Hello people

here comes another essay from the warrior princess...

ta muchly indeed for visiting my fundraising page...i hope you'll feel that   'Down Right Kenya' is a very worthy cause and will therefore wish to make a donation towards it.

In brief, a bunch (crazy group you might say) skiddadledd cambridge on september 20th 2008 (some having been preparing for rather longer than others!) to alle a la kenya ...by bike!...a wee 6000 miles and 6 monthsish and we made it!

but it's much less about what we're doing and so much more about the reason for it; this being to collectively raise enough money to fund and subsequently run a new primary school for around 700 rural kenyan children...education is the route out of poverty and we're going to be visiting as many schools as possible en route to raise peoples' awareness of how unknowingly lucky those who have (or have had) a schooling are

we're financing the ride itself ourselves so every penny that you donate here (and more you’re a taxpayer if you tick the gift aid box) will go to Harambee Schools Kenya (HSK)
