Scunthorpe Memory Walk, Central Park · 7 September 2014 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I will be doing the Memory Walk for my Nana, Brenda Kirk who is 92 and suffers from Alzheimer's. She has worked hard throughout her life helping and supporting others and I hope to do the same by taking part in this walk. Although she struggles with day to day tasks she always remains happy and loving. She is an inspiration to me and I am proud to call her my Nana.

Thank you for supporting me to take part in Memory Walk this year and raise much needed funds for Alzheimer's Society.

All of the money I raise will help support people living with dementia and their families, so your donation will make a huge difference.

Just £50 will pay for someone with dementia to go to a Dementia Café session every week for a month, where they can meet others, share experiences and feel less isolated. And the more I raise, the bigger the difference it will make.
