Story

Thanks for your support and donations

Thank you all for the support over 2 days of cycling and donations for the Quarriers.

On Saturday morning, 6 of us -Janis, Pam, Zoe (who came all the way from Fort william), George, Mike and Apurva- left cooper park in Elgin for the 100 mile cycle ride. In Buckie, we were joined by the GPs from seafield & Cullen practice Dr Kirsty Shaw & Dr Richard stoker and their practice manager Heather and their partners. 13 of us reached Cullen, and after enjoying the hospitality provided by Quarriers/ Information bus, We left for Keith, and then finally made it to Dufftown.

We were staying in the accommodation above 'DJ chippy' in Dufftown, and dinner was on the house from the chip shop!

On Sunday the 31st, We wereJoined by Mr Colin Smart, at Dufftown and cycled through the hilly roads of Aberlour, Archiestown, Dallas and Rafford, to reach Forres.

At Forres, we were Joined by Dr Kelly, Dr Marshall, Morag, Dot, Carol, Sarah, Gillian and Fiona.

Forres girls set a blistering pace led by Sarah and Fiona to reach Lossie at half two, where we were joined by Alison, Dr Saleem and lovely Emma Johnston (Quarriers).

17 of us cycled from Lossiemouth to Elgin.

Our aim was to raise as much money as we could for Quarriers and to make people aware of the charity and just what it does for the young carers in Moray. We have raised > £2500 and still counting and more importantly we have managed to talk about Quarriers to hundreds of folks, many working in health care related profession.
