Story
Hi, and thanks for visiting our just giving site, once again we are trying to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and have chosen another overseas challenge. Again, the route is about 450km cycling over 5 days. However this time, Mumtaz is joining me, though reasonably fit Mumtaz has only this year started cycling seriously again doing regular 20mile rides over the last few months in preparation for the ride. In July we both as part of our training participated in the Manchester to Blackpool ride and both completed it well under our target times.
I have done one of these challenges before and kind of know what to expect. However Mumtaz was a bit more apprehensive and hence the late start to the fund-raising.
We chose the Vietnam to Cambodia bike ride as both a personal challenge and to raise money for a great cause. Cycling is a great way to keep fit and the challenge is to get fit enough to ride up to 110 km a day in the Heat and Humidity of Vietnam and Cambodia (though it will be November temperatures will still be around 30 deg Celsius). The British Heart Foundation is a great cause and their research and work has directly or indirectly helped many people I know.
I'm sure everyone reading this knows someone who has suffered from Heart Disease and other Related Illnesse.
Please dig deep and sponsor us now and help us raise even more this time.
Many Thanks
Zaff & Mumtaz Shafi
