Story

Done and still alive to tell the tale - 4h05 and I can no longer climb up or down stairs

My charity ZANE, which you can still donate to by clicking 'sponsor me' above -

There are 6,000 British-born pensioners in Zimbabwe whose position is very bleak. Their pensions & savings have devalued through hyper-inflation & they've seen their country destroyed. Many have suffered atrocities before ending up in care. Conditions are not great.

- ZANE distributes supplies to old-age care homes throughout Zimbabwe. These homes are seriously underfunded with limited access to essential items such as bread, meat, eggs, milk, petrol, diesel, soap, cleaning materials.

- ZANE works to source these basics as cheaply as possible and ensure they reach the intended recipients. There are many great causes out there but this one strikes a chord with me. My grandparents have spent their lives farming just below the Zim/Moz border in S-Africa. I could not bear to think of them going through the same and I feel totally motivated to help improve conditions & dignity for this vulnerable group of people.

Your support is very much appreciated.
