Forth Valley Rape Crisis provides support and advocacy to survivors of sexual violence of all genders in Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire.

Story

I first contacted FVRCC a year ago in the first lockdown. During this time I was (and still am) recovering from abuse and stalking from an ex boyfriend. FVRCC advocated for me when my university rejected my appeals when my exams didn't go as I hoped. FVRCC helped me report what happened to me, and most importantly supported me in finding the voice I had lost. With FVRCC's support I can confidently speak out against what I have experienced, and advocate for the needs of myself and other survivors of abuse.

FVRCC also provided the GBV awareness workshops I organised through my society at the university of stirling, and are committed to preventing these things from happening.

FVRCC is a vital service, particularly as gender based violence and sexual assault are so present in our lives. I am doing the 97k challenge for the 97% of women that have been sexually harassed, and would be so happy if I could reach my fundraising goal by the time I graduate.
