The J's Hospice provides hospice and respite care services to young adults aged 16-40 who are living with life limiting and life threatening conditions including cancer, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Juvenile Huntington's disease and many more.

Story

Last time I ran London Marathon for The Scleroderma Society, a charity which has supported my mum and family for many years. This time I am running the Chelmsford Marathon in aid of The J's Hospice, another charity very close to my heart.

To say I am unprepared is an understatement, London I ran in trainers that were three days old, without any energy gels or sugary drinks, and this one I am no where near at the level I should be in my training, but hey.....I never have been the most sensible of people! My legs are already screaming at me!

I began working for The J's last year, and it was one of the best decisions I have made, I have seen first hand the incredible work The J's do and I also know how hard it is to carry on with this care with lack of funding so I thought I would do my bit. The J's Hospice improves the lives of young adults aged 16-40 with life limiting and life threatening conditions and their families across Essex. The J's provides tailored specialist nursing, respite, advice and emotional support as well as end of life care and bereavement support in the comfort and security of their own homes. They help the young adults to live their lives to the fullest, however short this may be.

Please do support my madness and donate whatever you can. I really would appreciate it, so would our patients and their families. I would be so grateful xxxx <3 ....so would my legs! Please make my pain worth it! xxxx
