I have been training (on and off) for over 6 months now to put myself through a battle of fitness and mental stamina, to ride 100 miles with a close friend of mine in support of the Macmillan charity.

Throughout my training I have cycled through parts of Surrey I didn't know existed, cycled to Brighton for a curry, fell off my bike at 35mph (Total Loss of Cycling Dignity... sliding down a hill in lycra!) and been chased by ferocious dogs at a Stud Farm that we (Jindy and I) had no right to be in... Jindy's Satnav guidance.... long story!! The last experience, whilst mildly concerning, was made acceptable by the fact my good friend Jindy displayed more fear than I, demonstrated by his scaling of a fence (with bike) to flee the dog, only to find there were 2 patrolling Alsatians on the other side!

This charity means a lot to me and it's a charity that touches most of us in one way or another throughout our lives so please give generously to support a great set of people doing a fantastic job for cancer sufferers on a daily basis... My 100 mile endurance is in no way a match for their commitment to the cause.
