Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'm thrilled to say that I completed the run in 17 hours and 19 minutes! My legs were quite sore afterwards (a week long horse trek 2 days later added to the pain!) but I can honestly say that I enjoyed every minute of the race! The scenery was truly spectacular, the local Mongolians were lovely and I made friends with some very special and inspiring people. 21 people finished the race and I was the 2nd woman (out of 2!) but 10th overall. I'd like to thank everyone who has sponsored me and written such kind letters and notes. If you haven't yet made a donation its not too late! All the money raised is going to the Alzheimer's Society, a very worthwhile charity which is close to our hearts as this is a condition that my family and I are coming to terms with at the moment. So a huge thank you again to all those who have helped me with this, not just through sponsorship but also with enthusiasm and moral support!

A re-cap for those new to the website...
On 29th June this year I'm aiming to complete an ultra marathon in Mongolia in aid of Alzheimer's Society. The race is 100km or 63 miles long (roughly 2 ½ marathons) and must be completed in less than 18 hrs. If the distance and time limit was not tough enough, there is an accumulated gain/loss of 3365m altitude to contend with. I am determined to do this event in order to raise money for the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers.
Many thanks for your support.
