We are doing this challenge for two very worthy causes the first is to raise money to help a close friend of ours, Sam Fairbrother. Sam was left paralysed from the waist down after he was knocked from his motorcycle last October by a driver believed to be over the drink drive limit and driving on the wrong side of the road. Sam has a wife, and 3 children under the age of 10. We are attempting to raise enough money to buy Sam a specialised, light weight wheelchair, which will give Sam greater freedom and manoeuvrability to enrich the interactions with his family.
