Building on the success of previous years' Tough Guy events, this year we've attracted a crew of 15 of the fittest, finest human athletic specimens on the planet to join the squad.
The event in July (called Nettle Warrior) is a messy, muddy, painful, torturous, agonising, stinging 8km assault course full of cargo nets, deep ditches, fire, zip lines, and a rather nasty 5km run in the middle of it all. If you want to see what we're going through in the name of charity head towards www.toughguy.co.uk.
So, the charity choice? It's a worthy one anyway, but there's an extra special reason why Tommy's charity has been chosen for this year's event. As they say on their website, Tommy's exist to save babies' lives by funding research and providing information on the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth. They're at www.tommys.org.
Donations are massively appreciated, thanks all. You can be sure that the 15 of us will be going through hell to earn every single penny!
Cheers,
Steve and the gang
