Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Cambridge Seventh-Day Adventist Church is organizing the Community Bike Ride in support of the ADRA UK and our goal is to cycle 2014 miles together to mark the 101 year anniversary of the ADRA UK Annual Appeal.

The 2014 ADRA-UK Appeal will support these projects:

Providing livelyhoods in Myanmar

Your support will help to develop livelyhoods in the Dry zone, Myanmar, where several communities are struggling to survive, due to extreme drought conditions.

Women's health project in Gokwe North, Zimbabwe

With your help ADRA will provide 4 women’s maternal health shelters in existing hospitals in Zimbabwe.

Funds raised in 2014 will also help to respond to international disasters.

ADRA strive to make the world a more just and liveable place for poor people around the globe. They contribute to the eradication of poverty and distress through life-changing, long-term development and disaster relief.

Put simply, ADRA-UK improves the lives of people around the world. The agency searches out deprivation, social injustice, and need—then works to eliminate them. We work to create lasting solutions — empowering people to reach their potential.
