If you have been given the link to this fundraising page, then you obviously know someone crazy enough to be doing the 24hours3peaks challenge, set up by a group of friends in need of an adventure. To add to our challenge we decided to raise money for a good cause too - that way there's no backing out ;-)

I'm not going to lie to you -  doing this challenge within 24 hours is going to hurt - a lot! But the pain we will feel is nothing compared to the pain and suffering people diagnosed with cancer and their familes feel.  Almosy everyone has been touhced by cancer in some way, shape or form, hence our decision to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

So what does our challenge entail?

We are attempting to conquer the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in just 24 hours. Starting on Friday 1^st August, we will head to Western Scotland to start our hike up Ben Nevis (1344m) at 4.30pm. After descending the mighty Ben Nevis, it’s in the car (no rest or sleep) for a trip to the Lake District, where we will conquer Scafell Pike (978m). After Scafell, it’s back in the car again (with even less sleep and rest) to head to North Wales to climbSnowdon(1085m). Our aim is to finish our decent from the top of Snowdon by 4.30pm on Saturday the 2nd, just 24 hours after we started in at the foot of Ben Nevis. In all the challenge involves some 42 km (26 miles) of ascent and descent, with total travel approaching 765 km (around 475 miles).
