Story
They did it, they did it!
Team 2+1= TRI successfully completed the Olympic Distance Team Relay in the London Triathlon in a respectable 3 hours, 7 minutes and 21 seconds.
A brave Justine swam 1500m in the very uninviting (smelly!) waters of the Victoria Dock, battling it out with over 400 other competitors, but completed the course in an impressive 35 minutes.
Tim cycled 40k on a hot day and on a tricky course but finished in just over an hour and a half. Fantastic when you consider his ankle was in plaster 3 months ago!
Dispite suffering a little in the heat, Simon completed the 10k run in 50 minutes, which he was pleased with. On the final lap Simon was able to meet up with the rest of the team and, appropriately, they were able to cross the finish line together, smiling!
The team did it all for CLIC Sargent and have raised over £1000 so far and the total is still rising. For both Justine and Tim this was a huge personal challenge, having not done anything like this before, and to raise so much money for a fantastic children's cancer charity was a big bonus.
The team would like to say a huge thank you for all your support and encouragement.
If you have not had the opportunity to donate it is still not too late. You can donate online through this site and it is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: CLIC Sargent will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
THANK YOU again for your support.
