On 17th /18th 2011 September seven teams of South Walian well intentioned trekkers are dubbing up their walking boots to attempt the 3 peaks challenge Ben Nevis Scafell and Snowdon in 24hours.
Teams include Gwent doctors, teachers from Headlands Penarth, Cyncoed Pharmacy, NWIS, and 3 teams of medical students we are aiming to raise money for The Southern Ethiopia Gwent Link (SEGL)
SEGL is a small charity led by healthcare professionals in Gwent Each year we visit a rural deprived area of Ethiopia delivering education and resources to empower the health workers to improve the lives of the local people.The charity delivers 100% of all money raised there are no admin costs.The volunteers have identified that Motorbike Ambulances are saving the lives particularly of pregnant mothers and their babies by transporting them to places where they can access care.
The cost of an ambulance is approximately £10,000, your donation, however small, will help to save lives Thank you
