We protect endangered mammals in the wild to build a better future for everyone

Story

Now in its 30th year DSWF continues to support many organisations across the world.  In 2014, one elephant is killed every 15 minutes for its ivory. In less than 100 years the elephant population has decreased from 10 million to c500,000.  As part of the 30th Anniversary Appeal DSWF is asking local communities to help raise £30,000 in 300 days to fund the elephant conservation projects before it is too late.  Barry & I would like to raise £1,000 towards this total by driving non-stop for 30 hours through 30 English counties with our sponsored 'cuddly' elephant, Chamilandu on 28th/29th July. Our love of Africa, its people, its animals, atmosphere & culture makes DSWF very close to our hearts and we would love you to follow our journey.
