Story

I support East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service, and I have set myself 4 challenges this year in aid of this fantastic charity and group of volunteers.

The Challenges are:

1) London Marathon - 21st April - 26 miles

2) Norman Conquest - 18th May - 50 miles

3) Three Peaks Challenge - 29th June - Climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England over just 24 hours.

4) North Downs Way 100  - 10th August - 100miles!

This is a daunting challenge and will total over 250 miles in total.

This charity means a lot to me as they are so dedicated and caring. Every year they help thousands of wildlife casualties.  They are only a small local charity but operate very efficiently.

In 2010 the charity was award an International Fund for Animal Welfare Animal Action Award, and in 2012 founder Trevor Weeks was awarded the MBE for service to animal welfare in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

The charity has been nominated for Small Charity of the Year in the British Animal Honours Awards 2013 hosted by Paul O'Grady on ITV1 to be transmitted on Thursday 18th April 2013 at 8pm.
