Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

During the 51 Sqn RAF Regt deployment on Op Herrick 16, 18 members of the engineering and support staff have set a physical challenge in aid of two charities, Help for Heroes and the British Heart Foundation (www.justgiving.com/51sqnlongwayhomebhf).

Our aim is to collectively simulate the land and sea journey from Camp Bastion, Afghanistan to RAF Lossiemouth, covering the distance of 5151m using fitness equipment and activities at Camp Bastion and RAF Lossiemouth within a 6 month period.

We have chosen Help for Heroes as they support Battle Back (http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/battleback.html)  a recent UK Military initiative. Battle Back uses Adaptive Adventure Training and Sports Rehabilitation to help seriously wounded Service personnel gain confidence and return to an active life.

Help For Heroes with Battle Back support Sledge Hockey as sport, as a service ice hockey player this relates to me.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Remember we are supporting two charities with this challenge, our target of £5151 between both so please show your support and donate to both.
