Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are 4 men who have had close family members pass away due to cancer or are suffering with cancer.  We have set ourselves a challenge of trying to visit all 92 English Football League Clubs in 92 hours.  The rules are simple you start at a club, have your photo taken and then travel the length and bredth of England and visit the other 91 clubs, making sure you have a photo taken outside each one with all of us in.  The goal is to do this under 92 hours.  The four people doing this challenge all work at HSBC and are Dave Williams, Richard Green, Neil Mardlin and myself (James Hunter).

We are raising money for Western Park Hospital in Sheffield, which is -

Weston Park Hospital is 1 of only 3 dedicated cancer hospitals in the UK and is a world leader in cancer research.

  • The building of the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Research Centre which opened in 1999 at a cost of £2 million. The Cancer Charity continues on a year by year basis to provide the running costs and funding of certain core members of staff. Your donations also contribute to a large and vital number of research projects covering all types of cancer.
  • A brand new £1 million Chemotherapy Suite here at Weston Park Hospital. This was needed to improve facilities which had become crowed and outdated because of the improvements and increased numbers of patients being treated with chemotherapy.
  • A Radiotherapy Department which is a leading national centre and one of the best equipped in the country.
  • Funding of the Cancer Information and Support Centre - a new drop-in centre offering patients, their families and carers extra help and support dealing with cancer.
  • Support of the Teenage Cancer Unit at Weston Park Hospital, which provides a specialised unit for patients aged 16 to 25.
