The Marine Conservation Society is the UK charity dedicated to protecting our seas, shores and wildlife. We work to ensure that the rich wildlife of our seas can be restored, that fish stocks can recover and our beaches and bathing waters can become cleaner.

Story

"In the spring of 2013, if you are any where near a stretch of the British coastline, you may set eyes on a rare sight - 2 men sea kayaking around the UK, a feat that only 13 people have previously achieved. Nick Arding and Lee Pooley, paddling Rockpool Taran's, will set off from Devon, and circumnavigate mainland Britain.  The weather, shipping, varying sea states, health and motivation are all challenges they know they will face, but perhaps the greatest test will be to raise a target of £40K for Clic Sargent and the Marine Conservation Society, and with the support team, promote the work of these 2 charities."
