Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Trading BUC JustGiving page.

Steve Keen tragically passed away on the 18th July 2010 after losing his short but valiant battle with melanoma cancer.

Steve was head of our Equities team. He joined ABN Amro in 2002 & became head of London Fixed Income Product Control in 2003; following that he was Global Controller for Rates & Local Markets before moving to head up Equities in 2006.

He was loved by many and will be very sadly missed. Steve leaves behind a wife and 9 year old daughter. One of the charities chosen by his family for contributions is the Cancer Vaccine Institute and this is the reason we have decided to dedicate our fund raising activities to them this year.

Founded in 2000, the Cancer Vaccine Institute (CVI) is the only national charity in the UK devoted exclusively to funding research into cancer vaccines and offering them to patients around the UK. Their vision is that cancer vaccines will become a standard treatment and improve survival rates and patient's quality of life for a wide range of cancers

About the charity

The Institute for Cancer Vaccines and Immunotherapy (previously Cancer Vaccine Institute) is the only national charity in the UK specifically funding research to fight cancer with vaccines and immunotherapy.
