Oxfam take on many battles, providing help on the ground for aid relief and campaigning for systemic changes for things such as trade and arms which create a dangerous and unfair global society. With my dissertation I hope to contribute towards a change for the better for the people who are currently dependent on the spare cash of those of us lucky enough to be able to afford it. I am doing this by studying global injustice, geo-politics and charity itself.

Oxfam works in more than 90 countries around the world in order to fight poverty and injustice. For every pound they get, 36p goes to emergency response, 7p to fundraising costs, 10p to support and running costs, 40p to development work and 7p for campaigning for change.
