Story
Dear friends,
Following our earlier campaign in support of UNICEF's appeal for children in distress in the Horn of Africa, during this Ramadhan we remember with sorrow and compassion the unfortunate CHILDREN OF SYRIA who have lost family, friends and homes and are surviving in refugee camps in fear, trauma and isolation.
We count our blessings and are again fasting the whole month of Ramadhan in solidarity with them and to help raise funds that go directly to them through UNICEF’s Children of Syria Appeal.
Please donate generously to protect these children from becoming a lost generation.
Ava (see picture) is one of the more than 800,000 children who’ve fled their homes in Syria. I am Ada. Our names are so similar, but not our lives! Her life these days is very difficult. According to the UNICEF, the children displaced by the horrific violence in Syria have lost homes and schools, struggled to get clean water, food and warmth. Some children have been victims of violence; beaten, shot at and physically abused.
These children have experienced fear and abuse that no child should have to go through. It's wrong that even one child should suffer like this.
Let us together help them survive.

Thank you.

About UNICEF:
UNICEF is working on the ground in Syria and neighbouring countries to provide clean water, clothing and medical care for children. UNICEF is also running child-friendly spaces where children can be safe, and helping children who have suffered psychological distress.
Right now, their resources are at breaking point. Without extra funding they won't be able to reach every child who needs them.
“As millions of children inside Syria and across the region witness their past and their futures disappear amidst the rubble and destruction of this prolonged conflict, the risk of them becoming a lost generation grows every day,” says UNICEF Executive Director Anthony Lake
Two years into the crisis in Syria, children are paying the heaviest price. Deprived of family, home and basic services, these children are at risk of becoming a lost generation. The psychological impact of the crisis on children cannot be underestimated. Beyond the obvious fear and trauma, the sense of disengagement and isolation is stripping children of their identity and dignity.
