Adam's The Duchenne Dash page

The Duchenne Dash · 6 June 2014 to 7 June 2014 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello all.
I have signed up to ride the “Duchenne Dash” from London to Paris in 24 hours on June 6/7. Not over the sea (we get a ferry for that part).
I would love it if you would consider sponsoring me at (http://www.justgiving.com/
1) The ride is in support of a very inspiring charity, the Duchenne’s Children Trust (www.dc-trust.org). Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a savage and currently incurable muscle-wasting disease that mainly affects boys and leads to paralysis and death by the early 20s in 100% of cases. All money raised will help to fund research for a cure.
2) I don't own a bike and haven't been near one since a painful summer as a London cycle courier in 1993
3) it’s over 200 miles of sitting on what cannot be accurately be described as a “seat”, more spike than saddle
The charity was set up by Emily and Nick Crossley whose son Eli was diagnosed with the disease. They are trying to raise as much money as possible to fund a cure before it is too late for their son and thousands of others.
Thanks for reading this and for considering making a sponsorship donation.
