Story

Thank you for your continued support as we strive to support this most deserving charity. We look forward to our next fundraising event and welcome your ideas support and company. Words are insufficient to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who walked every step of the way with us both physically and emotionally on the Bigfoot walk. Thanks to everyone who has and who continue to sponsor us.  Conor &   Aedamar.

Please see why below.

As you may know our precious little boy Finn was diagnosed with Ataxia-telangiectasia when he was just 18 months old.

WHAT IS A-T?

A-T is a rare, neurodegenerative and progressive condition which starts in early childhood causing severe disability and premature death. It affects many parts of the body robbing the child of his/her independence. A wheelchair is usually needed by the age of ten.
Finn is now 7 and the most lively happy little boy. He takes everything life throws at him and greets it all with a dazzling smile and great sense of humour. He inspires us in everything we do and we hope he also inspires you to support the  A-T Society and the wonderful work they continue to do for so many children and their families. Please donate as much or as little as you can. Every penny really does make a difference and please accept our heartfelt thanks for supporting this wonderful charity. See more about what we are doing and why below!!!!

The A-T Society Ataxia-Telangiectasia (“A-T”)
The A-T Society is a national charity, registration number 1105528. Its objective is to find a cure or treatment for A-T but it is also committed to supporting families affected by the condition as well as improving quality and length of life through our two specialist A-T clinics.

In order to maintain and develop our work we rely heavily on the generosity of our supporters. The rarity of the condition means we do not enjoy widespread appeal but the needs of our children are great. This is why we need your help!

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Bigfoot is the Walkers' Marathon  Completed sept 2010

Next challenge in planning.

Ongoing fund raising and awareness building about the condition and the impact on sufferers.

Bigfoot establishes a new standard for walking. It takes two iconic landmarks, between 15-20 miles apart and joins them with an iconic walking challenge. The very first Bigfoot challenge is between the historic towns of Armagh and Dungannon. We leave from the Mall, in the shadow of the Cathedral spires, and walk to the summit of the Castlehill in Dungannon, seat of the O’Neills, where you can trace the entire route back to Armagh. We go on the 12th September, 2010. There will be a team of us walking for the A-T society, more pics to be added.
