I have set myself the wee challenge of running the Yeovil 2014 Half Marathon. This is something totally out of my comfort zone but it's the least I can do to support the Incredible Archie fund and to raise money for CLIC.

Last September, my close friends son and Esmes lil buddy, Archie Francis (Incredible Arch) was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, he was just 3 years old at the time. This diagnosis turned his and his family's lives upside down. I can not even begin to imagine what his parents, Sam and Scott, or lil Arch and his ever protective big brother, Charlie are going through but they continue to be a brave, strong, inspirational family unit.

The money that you donate really does make a difference to families like Incredible Archies. CLIC Sargent provides families with clinical, practical and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. I have seen first hand how the money raised is spent, from visiting CLIC house when Incredible Arch was first diagnosed to the ongoing support he and his family receives through the social worker and nurses, this is just touching on the services and support CLIC Sargent provides.

Seeing the strength and courage that Archie and his family have to fight their daily battle inspires me to keep training, when I have thought I can't continue I only have to think about their determination to fight the disease. If Incredible Archie can be a strong, determined, courageous and inspirational little soldier then I can run a little race.
