Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On 25th of January myself and Jules are attempting to climb the highest peak in Africa, we are raising money for Help for Hereos. The money raised goes towards the members of the armed forces that suffer life changing injuries but are rarely reported on in the press, any money will be gratefully received and will go directly to the charity.
Some of the details of our climb are below, and if you are interested in finding out more get in touch.
Kilimanjaro
Height: 5895m (19340 feet)
Volcano’s: 3
Route: Machame
Eco zones: 5; rainforest, heath, moor land, alpine desert and glaciers.
Distance: 100Km (62 Miles)
Time: 6 Days
Kilimanjaro is 205 miles south of the equator and it is the 4th highest of the seven peaks, it is not a technically difficult mountain to climb the biggest problem will be the altitude.
