Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. I will be attempting to cycle 50 miles to match that of one of my Consultant bosses! I have not cycled more than 15 miles in one go since I was at medical school, and for those of you that know my real age - that was a long time ago!

I am raising money for Saving Faces which is a superb charity funding research and treatments for mouth, head & neck cancer, facial deformity and facial trauma, which is very close to my heart. Every year Saving Faces needs £550,000 to keep up its research.

For those of you who don't know, I have also just been given a higher surgical training job (Specialty Registrar) in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery which will take me through to Consultant level in 5 years, where my colleagues will be able to provide treatments that this research may help to advance.

I have even joined a gym for the first time in my life to get into training! All donations, however small would be gratefully appreciated.
