Story
Dear All,
As you will know, this page was originally set up to help is raise money for the Hit For 60 world record attempt. Where we would endeavour to play cricket non-stop for 60 hours.
Unfortunately, due to an unexpected exit by our lighting sponsor, this event has now been cancelled.
But due to all your kind donations, Dave and I have been asked to play in the Lord's Taverners 60th Diamond Jubilee Cricket Tournament to be held at Lord's on the 22nd July.
Yes, you read right, Alban and David will be parading themselves down the pavilion steps at Lord's and on to the greatest cricketing stage in the world, all in the name of charity.
All donations that were made, and are to be made in the future will still go 100% to The Lord's Taverners Charity, aiming to give young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance (pun intended). It achieves this by encouraging participation in youth cricket, particularly in disadvantaged areas, and supporting recreational and sporting activities for youngsters with special needs – donating specially adapted minibuses and sports wheelchairs, giving young people vital transportation and access to sport, and providing grants for play and sports equipment.
