Another Update (14 June)! I have only a few weeks left to raise a few more funds!! Anything and everything helps to go to such an awesome cause, the programmes down in DRC are running strong again, despite such a tragedy, but anything we can give them will just make their programme even stronger and able to reach even more kids in such a conflicted area of the country. It means so much to me that so many of you have helped support me through such an event, words cannot express it. Thank you with all my being <3

Post Marathon Update! I cannot believe after months of training, the big day is finally over. So much pain (prior injury came back to haunt me), but so much pride as well for having actually completed the race!! Hopefully I've inspired some of you to please still donate, my page will be open until July, and I would love to raise above and beyond my original goal, as it all goes to support some amazing families and the further help the education programmes in DRC do their amazing work. Thank you so much!! :)

*15 April Update I've hit my goal!!! However.. we all know when it comes to charity, that more is always better! I know there are still some of you who mentioned wanting to donate and haven't yet, please, pretty please, still do!!! If I could get up to at least 1,600 that would be incredible! Thank you a million times over to those of you who have helped me get here today, and an advanced one to those who are going to continue to help ! I'm grinning from ear to ear :-D

*27 February Update! Came to a bit of a snag in the training a few weeks ago with an injury :( Turns out breaking my foot over 4years ago has now come back to haunt me! After some attempts at running, lots of pain walking, seeing a physio, and far to many capsules of ibprofen later.. I am on the mend! Hate that this has really put a dent in training, but these things are sometimes inevitable. Every penny counts! And I am so thankful for you support!

Hiya! A huge thank you to one and all for taking some time to see my fundraising page :)

If you had told me a few months ago that 2012 would bring the chance to run the London Marathon, I would have thought you were completely crazy! I don't run, never have, and now I am taking on something that apparently 1% of the general population has ever done... Bring it on!

It was after good friends Nic Clark and Amy Parker(also running along side me) told me a touching story about the tragedy that struck the Children in Crisis project team in DRC. A few pints later as the evening progressed lead to the decision of taking on this amazing challenge!

All the money I plan on raising will be going directly to help further support the families of those who were sadly ambushed and lost their lives only a few months ago en route to the project. Their work in the Plateau region of DRC, going where all others still do not go for its dangers have meant that children can continue to see a promising future with education at their side to show them the way,
