On 27th June 2010 I will attempt to complete the Nice Ironman Triathlon. This will involve swimming 3.8km (2.4m), cycling 180km (112.5m) and running 42km (26.2m). And just to make it more intersting the bike course is very hilly and it is likely to be about 30 degrees!
Over the past few years, I have refrained from sending out charity fund raiser emails because of the number I have sent previously. However, this event has forced me to train like a dog for the past 6 months and so I hope you will agree it is a worthy opportunity to raise some charity funds.
I know several people who have been affected by spinal cord injuries and so I have chosen to raise funds for the Back Up Trust. They are a great organisation that provide a range of support for people after they have had a spinal cord injury to help them to realise their full potential.
