I travelled to Zambia last summer and visited a school in Mfuwe. Primary school in Zambia is free and the number of boys and girls in a class is nearly equal. Fees are required for secondary school and by the final year only 10% of the pupils are girls. Project Luangwa offers girls the chance to attend secondary school and to build a future for themselves. $450 will allow one girl to attend a boarding secondary school for three years.
