Story

Believe it or not, I am running a marathon. Yes, I know, utter madness, but as most of you will know I'm up for a new challenge now and then!

It all started as a bit of a bet (my wife may or may not fill you in on that bit) but after four months of training I think I've made it up to the miles needed to complete it.

My chosen charities that I aim to help are Lupus uk and Hemi Help.

Lupus uk: As many of you know, my wife Claudia was diagnosed with lupus SLE when pregnant with our third child. The people in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham do a great job in looking after her and many others a lot less fortunate who suffer terribly with this disease. To date there is still no cure, and I'm taking this oportunity to give something back.

Hemi Help: Two months ago my godson Matthew (Justyn and Emma's son) was diagnosed with a form of Cerebal Palsey called Hemiplegia that affects the left side of his brain. He is 18 months old and already the whole family have had to cope with a lot.

Please dig deep and give generously to either/ both charities by following the links below:

All donations are very much appreciated. Please do not forget to add Gift Aid, so the Tax man can do his bit to help!

Alex.
