13 miles. That's a lot. Especially for a self-professed running hater like myself. But all it takes is a good reason I suppose and I have several. The most imporant of which is my Grandma Challet, aka Marguerite, Chef, Guite... She has had Alzheimer's disease for a number of years now and although there are some good moments when we go to visit her, songs and hugs and laughs, most of the time she just doesn't know us anymore.

It is a tragic, very shitty illness basically, and most people don't know how to react when they face someone affected by it. Alzheimer's Society does a great job helping raise awareness and fund research to fight against it all and I wanted to do my bit.
