Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've completed my Hadrian's Wall trek on 13th-15th August half of which was in dire weather conditions.  I was bullied into doing the trek dressed as a parrot, which actually proved to be nice and windproof, although there was a slightly scary moment involving a cat!.

The trek was in aid of a fantastic cause - the Karen Morris Memorial Trust. The KMMT was set up in memory of a friend's sister who sadly lost her life to leukaemia.  The KMMT's main focus is to build home from homes for leukaemia patients and their families.  They currently have homes in Hammersmith and Oxford and have plans for Birmingham and Cambridge.

I realise that a trek might not seem as impressive as a marathon or an ascent of Everest but considering I was on crutches this time last year for three months this was a challenge for me.  I also had to take much valued annual leave to do this and because of my choice of photo for this page I was bullied into doing the trek dressed in the parrot outfit - how did I not see that one coming?!

Anyway, what I'm really getting at is, "Please will you sponsor me?".  Any amount will be greatly appreciated by me and the KMMT.

Thanks,

Alice
